Founded by the Mother in Pondicherry on 19 September 1960, Sri Aurobindo Society carries Indian spirituality into meditation, education, culture and everyday life, drawing on the deeper spirit of India and its philosophical heritage.

The Society’s administrative headquarters and Society House are in Puducherry, close to the wider spiritual, cultural and educational life inspired by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
